Adrian Altenburger

Adrian is a partner and director at Amstein + Walthert AG, one of Switzerland’s leading engineering companies in the field of sustainable building. He has worked on numerous residential and industrial construction projects as well as public buildings in Switzerland, Europe and beyond, including the USA and Asia.

He specialises in efficient energy and building-service engineering concepts for sustainable buildings, and is an acknowledged expert in the project management of building services. He was President of the Swiss Society of Building Technology Engineers (SWKI) from 2007 to 2009, and is a member of the Management Board and Chairman of the Central Commission on Standards and Regulations at the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects (SIA).

Since 2003, he has been a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). He is a member of the Zurich Energy Forum. Alongside his work as an engineer, Adrian is involved in higher education as a member of the Advisory Board of Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.

Professor Daniel Kündig

As Chairman of the Board of Directors of SwissSpaGroup Holding and a partner in UC’NA Architekten ETH SIA BSA AG, Daniel is involved in shaping every aspect of the companies he develops. His main areas of expertise, to which he is passionately committed, are architecture, urban design and development and project development.

He has worked on numerous residential, commercial and industrial buildings and is a successful developer of tourist resorts in the Swiss Alps. Daniel is Member of UMA, the Union of Mongolian Architects. He was President of the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects (SIA) for 10 years and has been a jury member for various national and international architecture competitions since 1989.

Since 1986, Daniel has taught at universities both in Switzerland and abroad. He sits on the Advisory Board of Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, is an evaluation expert for the Department of Architecture of ETH Zurich, a director of the Swiss Architecture Council and a member of the Strategic Advisory Board of ingenious switzerland.

He is the chairman of various companies, including TFB, a technical research and consultancy firm for concrete technology. He has been responsible for various innovations in timber construction and is a member of the Board of Directors of Erne Holzbau.

Manuel Alberati

Manuel Alberati

Manuel has been a managing partner of the architecture firm UC’NA Architekten ETH SIA BSA since 2003. UC’NA provides services in the field of architecture, urban planning and development and focuses on issues relating to space and design, art, scenic architecture and the associated implementation. Manuel has been a member of the SIA Fees Committee LHO 102 since 2008.

Since 2010, he has been Managing Director of the Student Accommodation Association (Verein Studentisches Wohnen) for the Brugg-Windisch area.

He has a broad knowledge of all the planning phases involved in architectural and urban design and has extensive experience from the perspective of the designer, building owner, developer and public authorities. His strengths include process and team management and problem coordination as well as the interlinking of content from different areas of expertise. He is well versed in Swiss building regulations and standards and is experienced at dealing with authorities, private customers and institutions.

Daniel Meyer

Daniel Meyer

Since 1988, Daniel has held leading advisory positions at Zurich- based Wenaeser & Wolfensberger AG and Bollinger & Grohmann AG in Frankfurt. In 1995, together with Dr P. Lüchinger, he founded the company Dr. Lüchinger+Meyer Bauingenieure AG, which offers consulting services in the field of structural engineering, facades and lightweight structures.

He is both a member of the Board of Directors and an executive director and as such is responsible for company strategy. He has worked on numerous residential, industrial and bridge engineering projects in Switzerland and elsewhere in Europe. He specialises in complex projects and expertise in concrete construction, in the development of innovative structures (e.g. glass structures) and in liaising with project partners with a focus on all-round, long-term, solution-oriented collaboration.

His many successes in national and international competitions attest to his exceptional expertise. Alongside his work as a civil engineer, he is also involved in higher education. From 2003 to 2010, he was Head of the Competence Centre for Glass and Facade Engineering at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Since 2011, he has been responsible for the structural component of the Master’s programme in Architecture at ETH Zurich.

Daniel Meyer has been a member of the Management Board of the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects (SIA) since 2009.

Almut Fauser

Almut Fauser

As a member of the Executive Board of SwissSpaGroup AG, shareholder and a consulting firm in the field of concept and real estate project development, she works primarily in strategy and concept development, strategic and operational marketing and communication.

Almut is specialized in industrial marketing particularly in the field of project marketing. She knows the hotel industry inside out, from the luxury chain to the privately run family hotel. She consolidated her expertise in destination management and dealing with different interest groups in her role as Head of Marketing and Communication for the town of Oberstdorf.

Her professional experiences in sport event management, including the XIX Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, USA, the 2005 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf, Allgäu (Germany), as well as various World Cup events in Germany, have taught her how to project-manage, organise and improvise under extreme time pressure.
